Camila Cabello’s New Song “Bam Bam” Makes TV Debut

Three-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Camila Cabello celebrated her 25th birthday on Thursday (March 3) by performing her new single "Bam Bam" live on television for the first time on The Late Late Show with James Corden just hours before its release.

As the crowds cheered, the Cuban-born star sang and strummed along to the verse of the single that her four-time Grammy Award-winning collaborator Ed Sheeran usually sings (the British star wasn’t present for the show).

During her interview with Corden, Cabello told the show's host: "This is my first time being single in my 20s, which is not even what I'm looking forward to right now. I think right now it's about my girlfriends, and I feel like my focus is on my friendships and just growing as a person."

Also in a new interview with Zane Lowe, in which she discussed the song’s lyrics and her personal life, Cabello said that what she was "trying to get across in the verse is just that things change and things take really unexpected terms."

"Bam Bam" was produced by Ricky Reed, Edgar Barrera and Cheche Alara and written by Cabello, Sheeran and Reed. The video was directed by Mia Barnes, in collaboration with Dave Meyers, who also directed Cabello’s "Havana," "Senorita," "My Oh My" and "Liar" videos. The new single is from her upcoming album, Familia, which is set to be released on April 8.
