WELCOME TO THE WILDERNESS!

NEW FESTIVAL OPENS GATES ON CORNBURY ESTATE

Wilderness, the pioneering new three-day festival of music, food, theatre, literary debate and outdoor pursuits launches today on Oxfordshire’s Cornbury Estate.

Located among the lakes, forests and ancient parkland of Cornbury Estateon August 12-14, Wilderness will be a weekend of freedom and inspiration for all free-spirited festival lovers.

Tim Harvey, festival organiser says: “Wilderness has been six years in the making so we’re very excited it’s finally here. It’s been a dream of ours for so long and we really feel that with the talent and partners involved we’ve created a new benchmark for the festival experience.

“It’s as much a weekend retreat in one of England's ancient landscapes as it is an outdoor arts spectacular. It's a long overdue addition to the UK's world-class roster of summer shows and a genuinely different type of festival for all different age groups – young and old. The organisers have really focused their curatorial powers on creating experiences and activities that are designed specifically for the Cornbury Park site. In many cases, these performances and happenings just wouldn't be possible anywhere else.

Lady Rotherwick of Cornbury Estate said: “We’re delighted to have Wilderness festival on Cornbury Estate this year and I’m very excited! We’re used to having music festivals here but this is going to be more interesting, eclectic and special than anything we’ve had before.

“The Wilderness experience is all about having no boundaries. The music will be entwined with the lakes, forest and little valleys, instead of being just in front of the house and will feel very bespoke and intimate. It’s a great addition to the festival circuit and look forward to seeing everyone there!”

Tickets start at £60 for 1 day and £99.50 for a 3 day weekend pass. Full ticketing info available from www.wildernessfestival.com
