We're looking for a speedy reporter to cover music news with a heavy slant towards pop and the charts. The ideal candidate will need to be a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in writing, web content management and editing for online site management. This position is freelance, will include mainly weekend work.

Requirements: Exceptional communication and organizational skills. Must be on trend with current UK/USA music and entertainment news. A keen sense of detail to create, develop and manage content for our web presence will require the candidate to work with content management software. Experience with publications on and/or offline are expected credentials. Fresh-out-of-college post grads as well as seasoned freelancers may apply.
 

Not required but ideal:

• Fashion background or experience with graphic and/or web design.
• Creative experience with advertising or copywriting.
• An acquired degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of HTML and/or Content Management Systems.
• A good list of contacts within the music industry notably online PRs and artist management, if not then the desire to obtain one.
• SEO knowledge.
