Early next year, the Kaiser Chiefs are set to unveil a new single 'On The Run' just six months after the release of their album 'The Future Is Medieval'. 

The guys have planned a four day recording limit for the song’s release in January. They say it will be a while before they record a new album.

Drummer Nick Hodgson told The Daily Star: “We recorded 25 songs for the last album, and that was a real wrench. I was constantly writing for a year, every day as soon as I got up! Even going to the bathroom, I was thinking of words, forcing them to come, until my mind was: ‘Aargh!”.

Band mate Simon Rix added, “After that, we thought: ‘What’s the shortest thing we can do – one song.”
