Pressparty is on the search for a reliable weekend news reporter to monitor the latest official news and write copy straight onto the live site.

You need to be a speedy and precise reporter with strong interest in pop and the charts.

As well as knowing the best place to put punctuation, you must know the difference between Kim Kardashian and Nicole Scherzinger, as you'll also be picking visuals.

The ideal candidate will need to be a passionate, dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in writing, web content management and editing for online site management.

This position is freelance and weekend only but may develop into something more permanent - the last two weekend reporters became full-time employees, which is why we're on the look-out again.

Requirements: 

Exceptional communication and organisational skills. Must be on trend with current UK/USA music and entertainment news. A keen sense of detail to create, develop and manage content for our web presence will require the candidate to work with content management software. Experience with publications on and/or offline are expected credentials. Fresh-out-of-college post grads as well as seasoned freelancers may apply. 

Previous experience of uploading news to deadline onto live websites is a must

Not required but ideal:

• An acquired degree in English, Journalism, Media Studies, Communications or a related field
• Working knowledge of HTML and/or Content Management Systems
• A good list of contacts within the music industry notably online PRs and artist management, if not then the desire to obtain one
