Myspace Gets Intimate with Artists in "One-Two-Watch™" Series kicking off with Emeli Sandé

U.K. Breakthrough Artist Emeli Sande to Appear in Unique Interview Format Showcasing First American Performance, Debuts Today on Myspace

Myspace (www.myspace.com) announced today that it plans to serialize its highly successful intimate music interviews, featuring a unique format that combines never-before-seen footage and personally revealing interviews with new and emerging artists. Dubbed "One-Two-Watch," the series debuts today on the social entertainment destination, offering a rare glimpse into U.K. sensation Emeli Sande on and off the stage.

The new "One-Two-Watch" episode delves into the Scottish-born singer and songwriter's propulsion to fame in the U.K., offering an in-depth look at the rising star and portraying her first-ever show on American soil. The vocalist was named Critic's Choice at the Brit Awards this year and will be in the U.S. this summer opening for Coldplay, with whom she toured the U.K. in December, in a series of arena shows.

Sande, who is coming off a string of well-received shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Minneapolis as part of her North American debut, is one of the handpicked talents that Myspace has identified as a key artist with a unique sound, set to influence new music.

"Myspace was always the place where music fans could hear what was new. I'm excited to see the brand refocus on this with the 'One-Two-Watch' series," said Scott Vener (@brokemogul), lead curator for Myspace. "By identifying and curating what's next, the series simplifies the discovery process for people, helping reactivate passive listeners around their passion for music." Vener was previously the music supervisor to "Entourage," "90210" and "How to Make it in America," and is known for having a keen ear for fresh and unexpected sounds.

Myspace created the series to support new voices and breakthrough talent while providing an opportunity for fans to discover new artists first.

"We are excited to see how Myspace's 'One-Two-Watch' series can play its role in breaking our new artists and introducing them to audiences, thirsty for undiscovered music," said Charlotte Robertson, who oversees digital marketing for EMI Music/Capitol Records. "We're pleased Myspace has selected Emeli as its next 'One-Two-Watch' and know that fans will not be disappointed when they watch her extraordinary piece."

Previous successes for the program have included interviews with Machine Gun Kelly, The Alabama Shakes and Lana Del Rey. Future "One-Two-Watch" episodes will focus on other breakthrough artists and air monthly in concert with corresponding album release dates.
