Justin Bieber: 'hopefully Anne Frank would have been a belieber'

Justin Bieber paid a tribute to Holocaust victim, Anne Frank, by visiting her house in Amsterdam on Friday (April 12). The house is now a museum to the young girl who kept a diary whilst hiding away from the Germans during The Second World War.

According to the official Facebook page for the museum, Bieber signed the museum's guestbook. The Facebook post states:

"Yesterday night Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank House, together with his friends and guards. Fans were waiting outside to see a glimpse of him. He stayed more than an hour in the museum. In our guestbook he wrote: 'Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber'."

Bieber played a concert in nearby Arnhem last night (April 13) as part of his world tour.

The Diary of Anne Frank has sold millions of copies worldwide In 1999 Time Magazine named Frank among the heroes and icons of the 20th centry on their list, 'The Most Influential People of the Century.' She died in 1945 when her hiding place was discovered by the Nazis. Watch fan footage of Justin Bieber's Arnhem show below:
