Adam Lambert admires Muse

Adam Lambert has revealed his admiration for Muse, suggesting they will go down in history as a "legendary group".

The former American Idol star recently appeared on MTV's Unplugged to perform acoustic versions of his songs including 'Whataya Want From Me' and 'Mad World'.

Speaking on the show, he said: "If I can be in any other band, Muse's music is pretty incredible. Actually Matt Bellamy wrote 'Soaked', which is on my album and it was a big honour to receive that song. I love the way he sings. It's kind of a throwback style. I think they're poised to be a legendary group. They are one of the few bands right now who I think will stand the test of time and have made their mark."

Lambert - who also performed 'Broken Open', 'Music Again' and 'Down The Rabbit Hole' - went on to say that he liked experimenting with the sound of his music. "It's something new. When we created the songs, we actually started on the computer, so doing it unplugged, this is the first time for that," he explained. "It actually allows you to play with the melody even more."
