Lady GaGa defends teen's "Lady Gay Gay" T-Shirt

Lady GaGa has described 15-year-old Cole Goforth as an "inspiration", after the teen was sent home from school at the start of this week for a t-shirt he was wearing. The clothing featured the slogan "I Love Lady Gay Gay", in honor of the 'Alejandro' singer, but teachers at the Greenbrier High School in Tennessee ordered the boy to return home.

It was claimed on Monday (April 5) that Goforth's top was a "disruption" to pupils.

After hearing the news, GaGa reached out to Cole via her personal Twitter page, where she wrote the following messages, "Thank u for wearing your tee-shirt proud at school, you make me so proud... You are an inspiration to us all. I love you. Been in the studio for days and hours of record after record, and when I hear that a little monster was discriminated against BY TEACHERS...It reminds me of my commitment love for you, and the deep unconditional devotion I feel to write music that will liberate you from prejudice."
