Dermot O'Leary has claimed that Whitney Houston gave him "a death stare" when they met on The X Factor last year.

Houston appeared as a guest on the ITV1 talent contest in October, suffering a wardrobe malfunction as she sang her hit single 'Million Dollar Bill'.

During an interview with Micky Gavin and Cat Harvey on The Real Radio Breakfast Show today, O'Leary was asked whether Houston will ever be invited back on the programme.

He laughed: "I hope so - she was fun, wasn't she? You know every now and again you'll meet someone and they'll give you that look as if to go, 'I hate everything about you'? That's the look I got! She just gave me this look as if to say, 'I don't know who you are, but trust me, I don't like you'." O'Leary continued, "The worst thing was her dress came undone. You don't want to embarrass her but I'm getting this death stare and thinking 'Do I help her with the dress?' and my producer's in my ear going through the same dilemma as me, going 'I want him to help her - but she will kill him!'"

Houston performed her first UK gig in 11 years earlier this week.
