One Direction's Liam Payne and Niall Horan enjoyed watching a New York Knicks game from the front row of the courtside at Madison Square Garden.

The bandmates watched the basketball game and the accompanying cheerleaders together with E! news host Terrance J and his girlfriend.

Horan tweeted after the game:

"The @nyknicks game was sooo sick tonight! was great to be there! thanks for having us.

At the sports event, the two boys bumped into legendary film director, Spike Lee, and Horan tweeted:

“Absolute honour to have met spike lee tonight, the guys a legend and a HUGE knicks fan.”

Horan also tweeted about One Direction's SNL appearance tonight (December 7):

"Tomorrow night is gona be amazing! I literally won't sleep tonight I'm that excited! It's gona be hilarious! You'll see why !”
