Kraftwerk and The Beatles are to receive Lifetime Achievement awards at the 2014 Grammys which are to be held in Los Angeles on January 26 next year.

The Isley Brothers and Kris Kristofferson will also be honoured with the accolade at the 56th annual ceremony.

Jay Z leads the nomination list with nine in total, while Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams have seven each.

Daft Punk, James Blake, Lorde and The National are among artists who are nominated for the top awards for the 56th Grammy Awards.

Kraftwerk performed at the 2013 Latitude festival back in July, alongside the likes of Jessie Ware and Eddie Izzard.
