Aloe Blacc set to land first UK No.1 single

Aloe Blacc is in pole position to bag his first UK No.1 single this weekend.

The US singer recently released the tune 'The Man' and the Official Charts Company confirmed in their midweek update today (April 2) that it is No.1.

That means that last week's No.1 - 5 Seconds of Summer's 'She Looks So Perfect' - drops out of the top five.

At No.2 on the midweek update is Duke Dumont's 'I Got U' whilst John Legend's 'All of Me' is No.3.

John Martin is a new entry with his track 'Anywhere For You' at No.4 and completing the top five is Faul & Wad Ad Vs Pnau's 'Changes'.

Paolo Nutini meanwhile is No.11 with his comeback single 'Scream (Funk My Life Up)'.

House music pioneer Frankie Knuckles is No.35 with 'Your Love' - only two days after his untimely death.
