Mitch Winehouse reads moving eulogy at Amy's funeral service

A service to honour and celebrate the life of the late Amy Winehouse has taken place today, July 26, at Edgwarebury Cemetery in Edgware.

According to both the BBC and a 55-year-old family friend named Alfie Ezekiel, around 400 people attended the ceremony which began at around 12.30pm BST and lasted for 45 minutes.

Winehouse's father, Mitch, gave a moving eulogy as the service came to a close and said, "Goodnight, my angel, sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much."

The BBC have also reported that a spokesperson for the Winehouse family explained that Mitch also "told some great stories from childhood about how headstrong she was. He stressed so many times she was happier now than she had ever been and he spoke about her boyfriend and paid tribute to a lot of people in her life."

The service ended with a rendition of Carole King's classic, 'So Far Away', and mourners have since relocated to Golders Green Crematorium to give the iconic singer one final goodbye as she is cremated this afternoon.
