Amy Winehouse's third album was 'not complete'

The late Amy Winehouse's third album was not complete, according to her producer Salaam Remi.

Since her untimely passing on July 23, there has been much speculation on the state of her third record and if it will be released posthumously, but Remi has now revealed to New York's Power 105.1 FM that "it's not a complete album":

"We were working on it; it's not a complete album. We had a lot of things going, there are recordings, but first things first, I think. We're trying to focus on what's at hand and what her family wants to do. So those reports (of a release) are false."

"To put it all in a nutshell, Amy loved to sing, to write... that ability never left her. She was very good at channelling her emotions into lyrics, and then being able to sing them. She was in a place to go forward and make it happen... The way that Amy and I always created was she would write and we would toss ideas around."

He added, "Amy had strong opinions on everything... She was very opinionated about what she liked. At the end, she was a real person. She had a huge heart."

All of Winehouse's studio albums re-entered the chart during the midweek update yesterday, July 27, and an incredible seven of her singles found their way back into the Top 40, too. Watch her perform 'Rehab' here:
