Tony Bennett has recently spoken to The Daily Show and he says that when he last met Amy Winehouse, she was aware of the damage she had done to her body.

The legendary singer recorded 'Body and Soul' with Winehouse for his 'Duet II' album.

It was the last recording the 27-year-old made before her death in July.

Bennett, who recorded the album to celebrate his 85th birthday, said that Winehouse knew she was in trouble:

"She knew that she was in a lot of trouble, that she wasn't gonna live. It wasn't drugs, it was alcohol till the end".

He also said that she was one of the greatest jazz singers he ever met:

"She was the only singer that really sang what I call the right way."
