Eurythmics to reunite for Beatles TV special

Eurythmics members Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart will reunite later this month for a TV special.

The duo, who have been inactive since 2005, will perform for The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles on January 27 in Los Angeles.

The show will air on US TV on February 9 and producer Ken Ehrlich said that Eurythmics would be a perfect fit for the bill.

He said: "When it came around to booking this show, what I felt was important was to try and find those artists who not only would be able to interpret Beatles songs, but would also have an understanding of what they meant."

Other acts due to honour the Fab Four on the night include John Mayer, Alicia Keys and Maroon 5.

Eurthymics meanwhile have sold tens of millions of albums since forming in the 1980s, with one of their biggest hits coming in the shape of 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)'.
