Annie Lennox suggests Rihanna for domestic violence spokesperson role

Annie Lennox has suggested that Rihanna could act as a spokesperson for domestic violence.

Rihanna was the subject of a domestic violence cause in 2009, with boyfriend at the time, Chris Brown, charged for assaulting the singer.

Speaking to the Guardian, Lennox believes that Rihanna would be "so f****** powerful' as a figure in the fight against domestic violence - but admits that it is up to her how she deals with the issue. She said:

"Here is a young woman who has been through domestic violence and she could become a tremendous spokesperson for that issue but the choice is hers. It's not up to anybody else to do that. Of course if she did choose to do that it would be so f****** powerful but it's her personal right to choose it or not. We all have our issues and we have to deal with them in our own way."

As previously reported, Rihanna and Chris Brown recently unveiled two new collaborations - a remix of Rihanna's 'Birthday Cake' and also a remade version of Chris Brown's 'Turn Up The Music'.
