When it comes to artists leading by example, the husband and wife duo, The Graes, is at the vanguard in romanticism. After making their debut on their wedding day in 2020, they have continued to enamour an international fanbase with their sticky-sweet pop grooves and vocal harmonies that epitomise synergy.
Their latest single, Figure it Out, was released on October 22nd, 2021; and they have plenty more soulfully moreish hits in store for everyone that has come to define them as couple goals. With their deep-seated passion for music and expression, the duo writes on the human condition in a way that proves celebration, grief, dreams, and daunting realities can peacefully coexist.
Figure It out was mixed, mastered and produced by the earworm maker Austin Bell, best known for his collaboration with Selena Gomez.
The Graes said:
“Figure it out is an 80s vibes banger. Remember high school, when you would go to the roller-skating rink with your friends and your crush would be there? Imagine this song playing as you found the confidence to go and talk to them and tell them how you feel. Figure It Out is a straight define the relationship tune without all the drama.”
Amelia Vandergast at A&R Factory said:
"With sticky-sweet lyrics such as 'I know we’ve got issues, but I like them too', The Graes brought realism into the romantic narrative without ever bursting the affectionate bubble. The single comes charged with commercial potential. If any song is going to convince you to accept your other half’s idiosyncrasies and convince you to put in the ground work, it is this infectiously honest release.”
The Graes is a Wilmington, North Carolina-residing husband and wife duo consisting of CJ Grae (Guitar/Vocals) and Cassie Grae – (Keys/Vocals). Before releasing their debut single on their wedding day, they looked to their influences, JOHNNYSWIM, Charlie Puth, Wild Rivers, Jon Bellion and The Band Camino, to learn the key to creating connections with their fans with their affectionate collaborative chemistry.
Their debut show under their new moniker took place at their wedding, on the same day that their first single, 40 Years (Our Vows), was officially released in 2020. With over 65 live shows under their belt, The Graes fever is sweeping across Carolina; recently, they played a sold-out show in Raleigh, and they are looking to take more of the country by soulful storm in 2022 and beyond.
