From fair Verona, the jazz-blues instrumentalist Stefano Freddi is here with his four-track album, Stefano Freddi Meets the Piano, which is set to release on June 2nd.

His eclectic curiosity fabricates compelling jazz-blues fusion scores, steeped in romanticism yet fluid enough you can build your own narratives atop the effortless sophistication that also lingers in the works of Fabrizio Paterlini, Ludovico Einaudi, Nils Frahm, Herbie Hancock and Joe Zawinul.

The standout piece, Days of Wine and Roses, may take the most obvious tokens of affection for the title, while aurally, Freddi plays on far more sincere proclamations of passion. The sweeping chords, swooning crescendos and the unpredictably fanciful progressions are like poetry in motion.

Stefano Freddi said:

“I wanted to create a four-track album about jazz ballads; I really like the easy-listening romantic atmosphere; I try to make people feel something special with my music.”

Amelia Vandergast, Executive Editor at A&R Factory said:

“What Truman Capote is to literature, Stefano Freddi is to music. His latest release is a gently chivalrous manifestation of intimacy, the kind that hopeless romantics live to find.”

About

Stefano Freddi began to play the piano at 6; at 14, he played his first concert in a rock blues band, and by the end of the show, he knew performing was what he wanted to do. He has been the pianist and keyboardist in symphonic pop orchestras, jazz bands, and backing artists, such as Marco Carta, Stevie Biondi, Denise Dimé, Antonella Ruggero, Annalisa Minetti, Cheryl Porter, Durga Mc Broom, and Lorelei Mc Broom.

He graduated in jazz piano at the E. F. Dall'Abaco State Conservatory of Music in Verona and has also worked with DJs and producers on house and soul music. In 2021, Freddi started to release his modern classical piano solo songs as a solo artist. Since his solo debut, his most successful release has racked up over 70k streams in under a year, proving that there is plenty of demand for his classy, timeless expressionist style.
