With the depth of Frank Ocean, the ethereal catharsis of Hozier, and cuttingly evocative indie guitars, Tre. Charles exposed his cinematically ambient soul in his latest single, Lately.

Taken from the NY-born, NC-based artist’s upcoming EP, Currently., which brings honesty and introspection to the airwaves, the single is a sobering reflection on the expectations placed upon men to inhibit their emotions for the sake of self-pretence.

Currently. will officially release on April 26th; Lately. teased the candour that is to come on March 15th, accompanied by the official music video.

Tre. Charles said:

“Lately. Delves into the realm of self-awareness and mental health, addressing the overwhelmingness of today’s social media landscape and the constraints of overthinking; it all pours through a lens of masculine vulnerability.”

Amelia Vandergast, the Executive Editor at A&R Factory said:

“If you’re still under the illusion that what you see on the surface is what resides deep within everyone you meet, Tre. Charles will blow away the smoke and smash the mirrors with Lately. For definitive proof of the power in vulnerability, hit play and feel the full force of the emotions when this melodically melancholic hit renders you raw.”
