Let Me Go

The San Antonio electronic alt-pop duo, Starleen, became a conduit of self-liberating, scintillating soul through their latest single, Let Me Go.

The sonic visualisation of ascension after self-liberation progresses from lush dream pop textures into an installation of fiery Avant-Garde trip-hop, solidified by a fiery backbeat and sonorous synths that crescendo beneath the chameleonic vocal lines which seamlessly switch between crystalline harmonies, emulating the dark sensitivity of Lady Gaga, and delivering the cabalistic finesse of Bjork.

Let Me Go will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms from May 23rd, accompanied by the official music video, which will undoubtedly help the duo comprising Starleen Holmes (singer, songwriter) and Zachary Holmes (producer/songwriter) to pick up a few more video awards.

Starleen said:

“This song is the first single off my upcoming album which explores the power we possess to overcome obstacles. Let Me Go represents the self-liberation of breaking free from whatever ties you down, it is also a reflection of how people and the incredible things we can do if we allow ourselves to be free are my primary inspiration.”

Amelia Vandergast, Executive Editor at A&R Factory said:

“Seductive, striking, and emboldening in equal measure, Starleen reached their zenith with Let Me Go. The echoes of self-emancipation are powerful enough to hand you the key to your own liberty.”

Zach and I met back in high school in music theory. After high school, we collaborated on some music and released our first EP, Life is Strange, in 2020. 2022 saw the release of our debut EP, To Give In, which was subsequently followed by a remix EP in 2023.

All our music is recorded and produced at our home studio where we create and produce what we enjoy and feel will make an artistic impact through the confluence of our unique song structures, production styles and evocative lyrics.

So far, our music has been reviewed on popular YouTube review channels, and our official music video for our single Right Back won a film festival award in India.

After the release of Let Me Go, we will release one more single before unveiling our sophomore LP in full.
