Arctic Monkeys: 'Our show isn't designed to be watched by the same person every night'

American band The Orwells, who recently supported Arctic Monkeys on tour, criticised the band for putting on the same show night after night and the 'Do I Wanna Know?' rockers have now revealed that a show of their size can't be spontaneous and different on every date of the run.

Frontman Alex Turner confessed that the nature of a big stage show means that it is choreographed to an extent and well-planned, so it isn't really meant to be watched by the same fan more than once:

"There comes a time on a tour when something works and you tend to leave it alone. We have been changing it around a little bit. You can't mess around with it too much. It's almost like the show isn't designed to be watched by the same person every night."

"Nowadays people share the set lists, but I'm by no means f***ing phoning it in. It's not like we have (pre-recorded) tracks we're up there f***ing doing it."
