New York, NY (September 17, 2021) — Atlanta pioneer Landstrip Chip announces the release of his electrifying new single, “Round 2” to celebrate his new label partnership with Asylum Records. The record, which was written and produced alongside OG Parker, G. Ry, and Kid Culture, introduces a new and unique sound for the record-breaking songwriter and producer. He's been working on his craft for the past few years, now releasing ahead of his forthcoming EP, Catch My Good Side. The new single is a further display of Chip’s incomparable lyrical dexterity, backed by his distinctive and frequent collaborators. The Caleb Seales-directed visual sees the Atlanta artist delivering a lively display, that flits between gritty and mellow forest scenes as he pursues his respective partner. Landstrip shows yet again his ability to occupy multiple spaces through his music and adapt to a range of different styles.

In regard to his new partnership with Asylum Records spearheaded by label president Dallas Martin, Landstrip Chip shared, "I felt like Dallas understood my vision and he respected my stance on ownership so I feel like the deal made sense. You just have to look at the roster he had, from Nipsey Hussle to Meek Mill to Roddy Ricch, those are the type of artists that I want to strive to have a career like if anything."

Having put in years of work, Landstrip Chip is no overnight success. His story thus far is one of highs, many lows, and more recently, re-invention. Through Catch My Good Side and his first pre-release single "Round 2," Chip seeks to showcase his undeniable gift and preview what is yet to come from the trailblazing powerhouse.

Landstrip Chip’s unconventional path through life and music is sure to inspire many. The East Atlanta native was born into a musically inclined household, introduced to the likes of Snoop Dogg and Sade, whom he cites as influences for his early works. Filled with fluid melodies and witty bars, he first began to attract media attention and popularity upon the release of his debut project, No Feelings, which caught the attention of respected super producer Sonny Digital. Laying the groundwork for a successful start-up, he followed with the release of much-awaited mixtapes One of One and Cruise Control, which gained a considerable amount of praise from the press and major publications alike.

This year Landstrip Chip presents Catch My Good Side, his most emotionally lush and polished work to date, and his most collaborative too. The 9-song effort paints a portrait of one of the most radiant voices coming out of Atlanta, boasting features from Mulatto and Seddy Hendrinx, who appears on the lead single "Round 2." Songs like "My Old Life" are a mellow ode to his dedication via memories of hard work and hardships Chip experienced as a young boy. Other songs like "Friend Zone" and "Bedspread" introduce the album's driving force of romance and love lost while records like "Fade On Me" and "Real Nigga" showcase his versatility and DIY approach to music.

At only the age of 26, Landstrip Chip is already a multi-platinum selling, billboard-award winning songwriter, producer, and artist who has landed songs with such artists as City Girls, Tinashe, Ella Mai, French Montana, and a handful of others. Now, putting his all into artistry, Chip looks to be one of the most prolific artist-songwriter combos in the coming years.
