Avenged Sevenfold are helping to raise funds for the tenth anniversary of 9/11 by matching contributions dollar for dollar to the WCCC Fund. Donations can be made online at http://www.wccc.com/uproar.

They recently released the second single from their Gold album “Nightmare” (which earned the band their highest ever debut on the Billboard album chart when it took the No. 1 spot.) on June 6th 2011. The album also charted at No. 5 in the UK.  

Entitled “So Far Away”, frontman M.Shadows said “This is our most personal song to date and was written for our best friend and drummer Jimmy Sullivan. Syn wrote the words as a last goodbye for our best friend of 18 years.” 

Avenged Sevenfold are also headlining the 'Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival' in the States.
