Avril Lavigne calls on fans to help make her birthday wish come true
Pop-rocker Avril Lavigne has just celebrated her 32nd birthday and she has called on fans to help make her wish come true.
Back in 2015, the "Sk8er Boi" star revealed her Lyme disease diagnosis and she has now partnered with the LymeLight Foundation to raise money for other sufferers.
For Lavigne's birthday, she wants to raise a total of $50,000 for the organisation. Donations are being taken now and the campaign is set to run until October 6, with prizes being offered depending on the amount of each donation. Click here to get involved.
Fans who give $10 will be entered into a draw to win one of 10 R.O.C.K.S T-shirts, a $50 donation will enter you into a draw that will see one person win a Signed Discography, and a $100 donation will see one lucky fan win a pair of Lavigne's shoes, a R.O.C.K.S T-shirt, Hoodie, and a mystery item of clothing.
In a press release about the fundraising campaign, Avril Lavigne explains: "Every year for my birthday, I ask my fans to give back to others in need. This year, I am again raising funds to support a cause that’s very important to me personally: helping people with Lyme Disease – who could not otherwise afford treatment – get the care they need."
