Avril Lavigne has teamed up with new husband Chad Kroeger in her latest music video.

The singer, who married the Nickelback mainman earlier this year, has released the promo clip for her new duet 'Let Me Go'.

The track - which sees the singers trade verses before teaming up on the chorus - will feature on Lavigne's upcoming self-titled album, which is due to be released on November 4.

The tune was released in the US on Tuesday (October 15).

The song's video sees Lavigne perform on a piano before Kroeger appears to play the seeming role of an ex-partner.

The Canadian meanwhile recently told Digital Spy that she thinks her upcoming album is her best yet, saying:

"I think it's because we spent such a long time writing it. It's really diverse. The first two songs you've heard - the rest of the album is nothing like that. There's rock, piano songs, stripped down stuff…there's an electronic song called 'Hello Kitty'."
