Døing it again! The Dø release ‘The Wicked & The Blind’ - new single April 9th

After releasing one of the 2011’s cult gems with album‘Both Ways Open Jaws’, touring abroad and playing two sold-out London shows, French/Finnish duo The The Dø are back with new single ‘The Wicked & The Blind’, out April 9th on Village Green.

Written and produced by Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy – aka French/Finnish art-pop duo The Dø – this new single sees the band pull in the reigns for a sultry, low-riding saunter through a rich orchestral tableaux, where strings and organs swell over the dark shuffle of psychedelic rhythms.  Arguably the most technically accomplished track from the album, The Dø pull off the feat of sounding at once sparse and overwhelmingly rich.

In her characteristically cosmic guise, Olivia sings; “You are the one/the precious stone/you’ve been chosen by the sun,” her voice merging with Dan’s to create a duet in the grand tradition.

Their stunning LP ‘Both Ways Open Jaws’, has been gathering praise from across the board. Written and produced by Dan and Olivia, with multi-instrumentalist Dan taking turns on sax, piano and harpsichord, among others, it’s all pulled together by an underlying pop sensibility.

“What we’re really looking for is adventure,” says Dan. “We don’t want to know exactly where we’re going all the time. I want to be lost. For me, our music is a landscape.”

Are you ready to get lost with them…?
