Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, ‘Stro Ifidon shares, “The premise for the song was initially inspired by a Drake bar. In ‘Middle of the Ocean’, there’s one line where he says, ‘This shit designed for divine ears.’ Something about that was so poetic to me that I decided to sit down and record a freestyle to post on Instagram and TikTok, interpolating the line to ‘Divine Minds’ which would later become the second verse. After I noticed a lot of positive feedback and encouragement to drop it as a song, I sat down to write and record the rest of the track around the concept of divinity. Essentially my goal was to express that the music I make is really for a higher purpose/cause and you need to be tapped in to this ‘divine frequency’ to really comprehend it, while at the same time poking fun at the ones who can’t.”
