Seoul-born and US-based singer-songwriter fayaway has unveiled her brand-new single, "Tilted Chemistry", a collaborative release alongside fellow artist Mark Kang. Produced by Mark Kang and Hoh Ray Guang, the track is a raw, heartfelt exploration of a one-sided, draining relationship.

Currently studying songwriting at Berklee College of Music, fayaway brings her wide-ranging musical influences – from R&B, pop, hip-hop, to jazz – into a distinctive, genre-blurring sound that’s grounded in her captivating voice and painfully honest lyrics. Having grown up immersed in both Korean and American cultures, her music carries a deeply personal yet universal resonance.

"Tilted Chemistry" was originally born as a class project, with fayaway and Mark Kang first meeting in a songwriting class. The pair’s creative synergy was undeniable, earning praise from their professor who encouraged them to officially release the song. They teamed up with producer Hoh Ray Guang to polish the track into a fully realised, professional single.

Speaking about the release, fayaway shares: “‘Tilted Chemistry’ is a song about a draining, one-sided relationship. It shows the duality between the girl who is willing to give her everything and the self-centred boy. This song reveals the complex emotions under a continued toxic relationship – knowing it’s bad but being unable to let go.”
