Anti-Beyoncé protest planned after Super Bowl half-time performance

An anti-Beyoncé protest is set to take place in New York next week in response to the stars Super Bowl 50 half-time show.

The R&B singer-songwriter, producer and actress, joined Coldplay during their halftime show extravaganza last Sunday (February 7). She performed her latest single, 'Formation', 24 hours after releasing the track and its politically charged video online.

However, the performance has since been criticised for being "anti-police" with its references to the Black Panthers and the Black Lives Matter movement.

A formal protest outside the NFL headquarters in Manhattan is now scheduled for February 16, the same day that tickets for Beyoncé's 'Formation' tour are also set to go on sale.
