Beyoncé, Jay Z & more to perform at Global Citizen Festival
Beyoncé, Jay Z, Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Ed Sheeran and Eddie Vedder are set to perform at Global Citizen Festival in Nelson Mandela's honor.
The Mandela 100 Global Festival will be held in South Africa's Johannesburg on December 2 at the FNB Stadium. Beyoncé and Jay Z will headline.
Other artists on the lineup include Cassper Nyovest, D'banj, Sho Madjozi and Tiwa Savage as well as GRAMMY-nominated artists Femi Kuti and Wizkid.
Oprah Winfrey will speak at the festival. She said: "Nelson Mandela's life story is a testament to the power of the human spirit and one man's ability to change the world by standing up for what he believed in.
"It is one of the great honors of my life to have spent so much time with him, and I look forward to celebrating his courageous life."
Tickets will be given out for free for those who start promoting the Global Citizen cause from August 21.
