Beyoncé to be honoured at Billboard Awards

Billboard.com has confirmed reports that superstar Beyoncé will be honoured with an all-star tribute as she receives the Billboard Millennium Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, airing Sunday night (May 22).

The singer will be honoured by some of the industry’s top players including Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, Bono and Stevie Wonder. On top of this, first lady Michelle Obama will join to sing praises.

The award – which Beyoncé won over other nominees Rihanna, Eminem, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber – will be recognizing her amazing career starting as a member of Destiny’s Child up to her extremely successful solo career.

Aside from Beyoncé’s award, the ceremony will also feature performances from the Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Keith Urban, Taio Cruz, Cee Lo Green, Lady Antebellum, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Far*East Movement, Pitbull, Mary J. Blige with Lil Wayne, OneRepublic, and a special performance by Neil Diamond.
