Beyoncé was overwhelmed last night, May 22, with an emotional tribute dedicated to her at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. 

Her immediate family went on camera to talk about the superstar's accomplishments and were joined by a host of other personalities, such as First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Bono and Barbara Streisand who praised the 'Halo' hitmaker for both fulfilling her own aspirations, her importance as an icon and performer, and her charity work.  

Following the video tribute, Beyoncé treated the audience to a technologically led rendition of 'Run The World (Girls)', which you can watch in full here:
