Beyoncé has unveiled her new single, 'Best Thing I Never Had', today (June 1). 

The vocal superstar will release the track as the second official single to come from her forthcoming album, '4', and it's presented as a mid-tempo emotional ballad that was written by Babyface. 

The lyrics are defiant and about a break up that turned out to be for the best:

"Thank God you blew it, thank God I dodged a bullet/I'm so over you, so baby good lookin' out...you turned out to be the best thing I never had."
