Beyoncé pulls out of Clint Eastwood film

Beyoncé has withdrawn from taking part in a remake of the film A Star is Born.

Veteran actor Clint Eastwood is directing a new version of the award-winning 1976 rock musical and Beyonce had been mooted to star in it.

However, scheduling conflicts means that she will not be able to work on the project.

The '4' singer said in a statement to E!:

"For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible."

She added: "Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."

The singer's previous acting roles have included a major part in Austin Powers' Goldmember flick and Cadillac Records.
