'Halo' superstar Beyoncé has admitted that like many other artists she does have a pre-show ritual that she goes through before taking the stage.

She is currently touring the world with her 'Mrs. Carter' production and explained that she spends a "few hours" before every concert going through the same routine to prepare herself for each performance:

"I say a prayer with everyone in the band, we do a stretch, I sit in my massage chair while they do my hair and make-up and I have an hour of peace and I have a playlist that I listen to every day."

"That's my ritual and it takes a few hours," she added.

Beyoncé will perform tonight (May 7) in Manchester at the Evening News Arena and will also spend the next two nights there before moving on to Dublin for two dates at the O2 Arena there (May 11-12). She will then tour mainland Europe until June 28 when she is set to kick off her North American dates.
