Beyoncé invites Boston bomb survivors backstage

Beyoncé has paid tribute to the survivors of the Boston Marathon bomb tragedy by inviting some of them backstage.

The US city was rocked on April 15 this year when two bombs exploded near the Boston Marathon, with three people dying and hundreds injured.

Beyoncé performed in the city on Tuesday (July 23) and she took three women injured in the blasts backstage at the TD Garden for a treat meet and greet.

The trio all lost legs in the explosions and are slowly recovering from their trauma.

The singer's Mrs. Carter Show tour meanwhile has been grabbing headlines for different reasons recently after she was filmed getting her hair caught in a fan.

Beyoncé took it all in good humour, however, and penned some light-hearted lyrics about the painful incident.
