Beyoncé bags Emmy award for Super Bowl show

Beyoncé has won an Emmy award for her Super Bowl half-time show.

The singer performed at the massive sporting event in February to a global audience, with Destiny's Child also making a cameo.

The performance has now won the Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special award at the Emmys.

However, the show missed out on the Outstanding Special Class - Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Miniseries, Movie or a Special gongs.

The prize-giving ceremony is due to take place on September 22.

Bruno Mars meanwhile is set to perform at next year's Super Bowl event.
