Beyoncé performs duet with 13-year-old blind fan

Beyoncé surprised a 13-year-old blind fan recently in Australia with a live duet.

The singer was performing at the Perth Arena on Friday night (November 8) when she sung with Sophie Kotkis.

The young fan, who is blind and suffers from mild cerebral palsy, was picked out of the crowd by Beyoncé and had a chance to sing on the microphone during the track 'Irreplaceable'.

The superstar singer said: "I have a very special young lady here - tell everybody your name, beautiful."

The magical moment came about after Sophie's sister Ellie made a video to raise awareness of the young girl's plight.

Ellie said: "She's never really been able to go to a concert due to logistical reasons so I made a video about Sophie. Even with everything that she's been through, she's been able to do so much. She raised over $1000 for people with multiple sclerosis. I put that all in the video and I just said that I think someone as amazing as Sophie deserves to meet someone as amazing as you [Beyoncé]."

Beyoncé meanwhile is due to begin the North America leg of her Mrs. Carter Show world tour on November 30 in Vancouver.
