Biffy Clyro claim top spot in UK albums chart

Biffy Clyro have landed at No.1 on the official UK albums chart today (February 3) with their brand new record, 'Opposites'.

This is the Scottish Rockers' highest charting album to date, knocking the 'Motion Picture Cast Recording of Les Misérables' off the top spot after two weeks.

The soundtrack from director Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of the hit musical - which stars Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman - is now at No. 2 in the albums chart.

Justin Bieber's long-awaited 'Believe Acoustic' has landed at No. 5, while Rihanna's 'Unapologetic' has slipped two places to No. 7.

Elsewhere in the albums chart, Ellie Goulding's 'Halcyon' is up three places to No. 10 while Alicia Keys' 'Girl On Fire' has climbed an impressive 25 places to No. 13.
