Biffy Clyro: 'Charging for meet and greets is absolutely appalling'

Rockers Biffy Clyro have revealed their disgust at the bands and artists who charge fans for the privilege of meeting them either before or after concerts.

In a new interview with the NME, the 'Mountains' stars confessed that no fan should have to hand over money in exchange for coming face-to-face with their idols as people are not commodities to be bought and sold:

"Artists charging for meet and greets is absolutely appalling. I don't think you can put a price on meeting somebody - that's ridiculous. You get paid to perform and that makes sense, but meeting someone is just part of the job."

"You're meant to just be nice and meet people. What's five minutes to just shake someone's hand?"

Biffy have also announced details of a north American tour that will kick off on September 28 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The band is set to perform 10 dates around the USA and the final show will take place on October 10 in Philadelphia.
