Adult Swim Singles have just shared a new song by Chicago electronic music trailblazer Jlin as the eighth entry in the 2019-2020 program.

"I Hate Being An Adult" is an unrelenting latticework of gesticulating saw wave synths propelled by a fierce electronic drums that repeatedly flip the beat, akin to the ground being repeatedly pulled out from under oneself amid an industrial landscape of rebelling machinery. The new single follows her most recent major work Autobiography, the third album from the former steel mill worker, whose unique oeuvre has transcended the boundaries of Chicago dance music via productions filled with lush, weightless yet powerful drum patterns.
