POPPY ANNOUNCES SUMMER TOUR SUPPORTING DEFTONESMAKING LIVE APPEARANCE ON WWE NXT NEXT WEEK IN THE MIDST OF RAPIDLY SELLING OUT HEADLINE TOURGROUNDBREAKING NEW ALBUM I DISAGREE, OUT NOW ON SUMERIAN RECORDSOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Biz 3 Publicity Post-genre art and music visionary Poppy has just announced a bevy of new tour dates this Summer supporting Deftones and Gojira (see full dates below). The announcement lands in the midst of her current headlining tour, which is selling out shows from coast to coast (including sell outs in San Francisco, Portland, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, two consecutive nights in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Los Angeles, and a host of upcoming overseas shows) as it winds its way through North America. The multitudinous dates are in support of her boundlessly ambitious new album I Disagree (out now via Sumerian Records), which boasts a variegated nature that embodies "alternative" in the truest sense of the word. The new material bleeds the boundaries between pop, progressive, electronic, and metal, underpinned by unpredictable time signature shifts and indelible earworm vocal hooks. Tickets & VIP packages are available now - see a full list of tour dates and ticket information BELOW. Last week WWE's Triple H announced that Poppy will take a quick break from her rigorous tour schedule to make another live appearance as a musical guest on NXT on February 16, appearing as the #NXTLOUD artist for TakeOver: Portland. Her recent singles "Fill The Crown" and "Anything Like Me" will serve as theme songs for the event. The appearance follows an incredible live performance on NXT last October. NXT TakeOver: Portland is streaming live on WWE Network Sunday, Feb. 16 at 7 ET/4 PT.
"Part of the joy in I Disagree comes in how overwhelming it is." - PITCHFORK "While the sheer amount of sound that Poppy crams into I Disagree can be overwhelming, the payoff is a genuine thrill... As both a symbolic avatar for her life changes and a strong empowerment statement, I Disagree celebrates Poppy's rebirth as a pop-metal alchemist and unabashed rule-breaker." - ALL MUSIC GUIDE "I Disagree is boundless and a product of Poppy's own design. She has expanded her musicality while also challenging genre conventions. A major shift from her previous endeavors, I Disagree will challenge her established fans while amassing new appreciation for the artist." - POPMATTERS
