Renowned Stones Throw keyboardist and producer Kiefer has announced a North American headlining tour in advance of his upcoming album, When There’s Love Around, out August 27th. The 19 date tour kicks off September 26, 2021 in Houston, TX, ending November 6, 2021 in Atlanta. Kiefer is building a passionate and dedicated audience through his Twitch channel where he connects with thousands of his fans authentically and directly, offering insights on his extensive knowledge of music theory, production and his personal process. Kiefer and his collaborators are among some of the world’s most innovative and undiscovered musicians, stemming from the rich soil of the Los Angeles jazz scene, expanding the forefront of Black American Music.

Kiefer has shared two songs from his forthcoming album, most recently “i remember this picture” that came alongside an idiosyncratic video and the title track, “When There's Love Around”. When There’s Love Around is Kiefer’s second album to be released on Stones Throw and addresses themes of grief, friendship, love and human connection in his trademark warm, approachable style. Kiefer is releasing live performance videos, linked below, that give fans a glimpse into the experience of his emotive arrangements in the intimate setting of his backyard in Los Angeles.

Kiefer has seen notable early support from DSPs including gracing the cover of Spotify's All New Jazz playlist and being added to popular playlists including Changes, State of Jazz and 21st Century Jazz on Spotify; New Latitudes, Astral Escape, New In Indie and New Music Daily on Apple Music, and Fresh Jazz on Amazon Music.

When There’s Love Around follows the recent Between Days EP and sees Kiefer team up with musicians and producers including DJ Harrison, Andy McCauley, Josh Johnson, Will Logan, Sam Wilkes and other compatriots for a full live band sound. The album is made up significantly of one-take material, with mistakes left in, true to Kiefer’s preference for music that feels spontaneous and from the heart.
