Swedish artist and producer VARG²™ has released his first music of 2022 with new single “Without Waves:消える” feat. Golin- LISTEN HERE. Accompanying the single comes the announcement of his new EP, Lonestar Pandemonium, his debut release with YEAR0001, set to drop May 13. The new track showcases VARG²™’s prowess in production, as a driving drum beat lays the structure for a slew of intentional electronic chaos creating a finished product ready for both headphones and dancefloor alike. Possessing a chaotic ability to wring torrents of feeling out of classic gear like 808s and Junos as easily as $5 iPad soft synths, VARG²™’s utter disregard for the norms of electronic music, DJ culture and polite society allow him to move pure, uncut electricity with a fervor few can match.

VARG²™’s sound has evolved from his experience in the now-iconic Swedish music scene, made famous by acts like Yung Lean and more recently, fellow YEAR0001 signees Drain Gang (formerly known as Gravity Boys), composed of members Bladee, Ecco2k, Thaiboy Digital and Whitearmor. With that being said, VARG²™ has always been an outlier who now finds himself actively carving his own niche and creating his own legacy to contribute to that scene’s history. With a multi-genre array of electronic influences and inspirations spanning rap, EDM, trance, industrial techno, and ambient meticulously crafted together in sonically rich and masterful production work, this diverse palette poises VARG²™ as a superstar producer in the making, amplified by an intense intrigue born out of his affinity for provocation and controversy, and a hunger drive influenced by a profound introspection inspired by the declining industrial town of northern Sweden, which he has risen from.

VARG²™ is currently accompanying Drain Gang on their current U.S. Tour and will continue with them in Europe. A multifaceted creative, he has collaborated on projects with Canadian artist Chloe Wise, LA-based artist/photographer Cali Thornhill-Dewitt, and British-Indian fashion designer Supriya Lele to name a few. Lonestar Pandemonium boasts features from long-time collaborators and Drain Gang members Bladee & Ecco2k, and again sees Varg²™ effortlessly bending styles, linking electronic to rap music and cementing a style that is his own.
