Published: January 28, 2025 -- Luke Titus, the Chicago-born drummer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, has dropped a new song, “Above Us.” A dreamy, indie-funk-leaning track that nimbly flows on a punchy bassline colored with harmony. It’s his first solo single since the remarkable, head spinning 2020 debut album Plasma. The single is accompanied by a video shot in the desert.

Since the release of Plasma, Titus has worked nonstop putting out a joint album with Cisco Swank, co-producing Ravyn Lenae’s Hypnos, and other co-production credits that span across a roster of innovative talents like Noname, Orion Sun, Steve Lacy, Monte Booker, Brian Sanborn, Teo Halm, Phoelix, Cisco Swank, Saba, Kiefer, Elijah Fox, and Itai Shapira. Past performances at high-profile festivals and venues include Lollapalooza, Coachella, Pitchfork, Blue Note NYC, North Sea Jazz Fest, Smoking Grooves, Fuji Rock Festival, Blue Note Tokyo, and NYC Winter Jazz Fest.
