Blink-182 on course to land first UK No.1 album

Blink-182 look likely to bag their first UK No.1 album this week.

The pop-punks have topped the Official Charts Company's midweek update with their new effort 'California'.

It is outselling the top three combined and has racked up 17,000 sales so far this week.

Blink-182's previous highest charting album in the UK was 'Take Off Your Pants and Jacket', which hit No.4 in 2001.

At No.2 on the midweek update is Coldplay's non-moving 'A Head Full of Dreams', while Adele's '25' drops from No.1 to No.3.

ELO's 'All Over The World' is No.4 and Beyoncé's 'Lemonade' rounds off the top five.

Bat For Lashes' new entry 'The Bride' is in at No.6, while Area 11 debut at No.13 with 'Modern Synthesis'.

Metronomy's 'Summer 08' meanwhile is new at No.15.
