Blink-182 'looking into' getting a boat so that Travis Barker can join them on tour

'Bored To Death' pop-punk heroes Blink-182 might purchase a boat so that drummer Travis Barker can travel abroad for a tour.

Member Mark Hoppus explained that because drummer Travis Barker no longer travels by plane, they're looking into hiring a boat for him so that they can bring their new live show overseas and to the UK: "We are looking into it. Hopefully we can make it work. Travis is looking into the possibility of taking a boat from LA, which is a very long trip."

Barker, who was flying in a jet that took off Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina when it crashed and killed four other passengers, added to the Daily Star that he's happy to spend long periods of time travelling on a boat because he feels much safer:

"I take a tour bus everywhere when we're in the States, but if we're going to do a tour of Europe then I take the Queen Mary boat across to the UK. I'm on a bus for six days, travelling from LA to New York, and then I'm spending eleven days on a boat."
