Blink 182 cancel London gig tonight due to band member illness

Pop-punk megastars Blink 182 have cancelled tonight's (July 26) gig at London's Brixton Academy due to an illness in the band.

The 'I Miss You' hitmakers issued an official statement about the last-minute change of plans and explained that Mark Hoppus has been told by doctors that he has "bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis", so is unable to perform:

"It is with regret that tonight’s Blink 182 show at London's O2 Academy Brixton has been cancelled. Unfortunately Mark Hoppus was taken ill at the end of last night’s show and has been diagnosed with bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis."

"This is the last thing the band want to do but on doctors advice today it has been highly advised that Mark cannot perform and the show can't go ahead. Regrettably a rescheduled date cannot not be arranged and customers are advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund."

This news comes after the band rocked the same venue last night (July 25) and this evening was due to be their final night in England's capital city.
